This week, the Wendy’s Corporation, its agency Rattleback, and VNN announced a national media partnership to promote the 2018 Wendy’s High School Heisman Award, an annual competition that crowns one male and female winner from the nation’s high schools that exemplify leadership in athletics, academics, and attitude in their local community. The competition rewards 100 scholarships to students from all 50 states ranging from $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000..
Created in 1994 to recognize student-athletes who excel on the field, in the classroom, and in their community, Wendy’s recognizes one male and one female from each participating school while awarding 100 state winners, 8 national finalists, and two national winners with scholarships. In addition, the two national winners are honored during the national telecast of the NCAA’s Heisman Trophy presentation on ESPN. Phase 1 of the application process closes October 2.
The campaign, which launched September 11, will reach high schools across 39 states who partner with VNN as their media representative to generate more applications for the program through a mix of display media and native content.
