Brian Silipena has been the Athletic Director at Pequannock Township High School in Pompton Plains, New Jersey for six years, and he has seen increasing responsibility every year. With more responsibility comes more paperwork, more data, and more information to manage and communicate every day.
“When I first started, we were heavy into using paper,” Silipena said. “I wanted to go paperless and I wanted to streamline an area where we can have everyone register, where I could have schedules available, and basically where the community could go and see exactly what’s going on, on a day-to-day basis.”
Silipena needed a streamlined platform for scheduling and registration to save time and keep track of all the details associated with athletics and events. After researching options, he found that rSchoolToday was the best solution.
“Being able to know exactly what’s going on my plate every day – all I do is go to the rSchool website, click on the title of my school, and it’s right there for me,” Silipena said.
While the role of Athletic Director can often be hectic, that doesn’t stop Silipena from enjoying the job and watching his student-athletes develop.
“Watching ordinary students do extraordinary things, it’s not like a job,” Silipena said. “It’s my lifeline. Coming in and watching students grow athletically, academically… it’s amazing.”

“I really cherish the moments where I can look back and say, this was the beginning of our season because the beginning of our season brings so much hope.”
