Old Mill (MD) alum sets modern day MLB record with 8 strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings

Old Mill (MD) graduate Josh Hader set a modern-day Major League Baseball record with a spectacular performance in his second season as a relief pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. In last Monday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds, Hader notched eight strikeouts in just 2 2/3 innings of work, needing only 37 pitches to dispense with eight of the nine hitters he faced to earn the save as the Brewers beat the Reds, 6-5, at Great American Ball Park.
