Blackford (IN) Freshman Phenom Luke Brown sets Indiana state record

With 48 points (18-24 FG, 9-11 FT) in a 69-68 win over Monroe Central (IN). Blackford Bruin Freshman Luke Brown broke the freshman scoring record set by Ft Wayne Luer and Ohio State alum Deshaun Thomas in 2007.
Luke Brown’s season is breathing life into the Bruins, who had lost 72 of 73 coming into this season, and have gone 7-1 for the first time in school history (49 years).
He is averaging 29.6 a game through 8 career games and has already set the school record for consecutive free throws made (44), free throws made in a game (20), free throw percentage in a game (100%, 16-16) and is already 2nd all-time in Blackford history with 4 30+ point games. Last week, he was named the IBCA Subway Player of the Week for District 2.
