Starting last Friday night, and ending Saturday morning due to a mid-game lightning delay, the Bishop Moore / Lake Brantley football game came down to the final seconds. With 40 seconds left, Lake Brantley receiver Angel Thomas stole a potential interception away from Bishop Moore for a spectacular, and controversial, touchdown catch to bring the Patriots to within one point of the Hornets.
Choosing to go for two and the win, the the Hornets stopped the 2 point conversion try to eke out a win 35-34 with the sun shining at 10am. The Hornets headed to Baltimore over the weekend to battle with Archbishop Spalding.
