15 Year old Anthony Jackson making noise for the Temple Wildcats (TX)

For most 15-year olds, making the Varsity football roster is an accomplishment in itself. For Temple Wildcat (TX) sophomore running back Anthony Jackson, it’s just the beginning. During the first four games of the season, Jackson carried the ball only 12 times, but since, has exploded on to the scene, rushing for 312 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries in his last three games, even throwing for a 2-point conversion in last week’s game vs. Bryan Rudder (which the Wildcats won) 45-24).
At 5-foot-7 and 180-pounds, Jackson is a hard-to-tackle speedster, who is poised to be making an impact at Temple for years to come.

Harrison (MI) Coach John Herrington wins game 431, now number 1 on Michigan's All-Time wins list.

Last Friday, October 13, Farmington Hills Harrison (MI) beat Berkley 39-0 on their homecoming night, giving head coach John Herrington his 431st win in the MHSAA, making him the all-time winningest coach in state history. Since opening in 1970, Herrington, 76, has been the school’s only coach and has led the Hawks to 13 state championships, the most of any school in state history with players like the Arizona Cardinals’ Drew Stanton, and the Carolina Panthers’ Devin Funchess. Amongst the excitement, the story is bittersweet, with the school planned to be closed after the 2018-19 school year due to budget cuts.
