A deep dive into the new Box Out Sports update

Earlier this month, our team announced a major update for accounts who are using Box Out Sports for their high school.

The update, which drops for free into all Box Out accounts, takes our partner’s fan-favorite graphic design software to a new level, with several additional new features that give any AD, coach, SID, and admin the ability to promote activities at their school like never before. You don’t need any experience in art or design to make great-looking graphics for your website, social media, email signatures, morning announcements, or anywhere else in your community.

If your high school is currently using Box Out or you’re someone who is just signing up now, here’s a deeper dive into what’s included in the new release:

New Designs

The biggest upgrade is to the graphics library. Depending on if your school is a Basic, Plus, or Premium account, you’ll be seeing lots of new templates hitting your account, all designed by the head graphics designer from the NBA.

Our favorite new collection? The Neon Series. Cool neon accents, same high-octane look.

Native QR Code Graphics

Unlike any other graphic design software on the market, you’ll be able to create  QR Codes from within your Box Out account, and generate it with your branded logo and school colors, making your art look better, and saving you time in the process.

Need a real world example of how a university is using QR Codes in their marketing?

Multi-Format Templates

A new collection in Box Out, multi-format graphics take the work you’re already doing and multiply it without any effort from you. These designs instantly take one graphic that you’ve created and generate it into three of the most popular social media sizes automatically, giving you the right image for the right post in less time than ever.

Next-Gen Motion Graphics

With Next-Gen Motion Graphics, high schools are finally getting access to Box Out’s state-of-the-art rendering engine, which is used by their Power 5 D1 college partners like Ohio State, Notre Dame and UConn. New motion graphic templates all you to create crisp, eye-popping, jaw-dropping motions effects with minimal waiting around time.

Integration with SportsHub (coming soon)

In addition to posting on Twitter and Facebook direct from your school’s Box Out account after generating a graphic, you’ll be able to post directly to your SportsHub activities website, too.

All these features are dropping into Box Out high school accounts through rSchoolToday at no cost.

At the same time, all accounts also get to take advantage of the time-saving features most-loved by high schools across the country– the national opponent database (which stores branding details for teams you may play),  unlimited user logins (so you can invite anyone from student to staff to help promote your programs) and Team Pages (so everything in your account is nice and organized rather than one shared account on a single page that includes every program).

We think this update is a real game-changer.
