1933 Boys Basketball Team to be inducted into Kent City (MI) Hall of Fame

Since its inception, the Kent City Athletic Hall of Fame Committee has chosen 18 individuals and one team to cement their place in Kent City Athletics’ history. On February 2, this illustrious group will welcome new members from the 1933 Michigan Class D State Runner-Up team. The team, lead by coach C.B. Leaver, won 39 of 42 games played in two years (1932-1933), and upset state title favorites Stevensville in the state regionals, only falling short of the state title by one point in overtime.
